
On January 27, 2019, President Donald Trump signed an executive order temporarily barring refugees from seven Muslim-majority countries.
Recognizing that places like Hawai‘i have been enriched by multiculturalism and immigrants as well as the history of racist anti-immigration policies this country has seen, the ACLU of Hawai‘i teamed up with community partners to issue a statement opposing the racist and discriminatory anti-immigration policy.
