In early 2020, we brought community members from all over the neighbor islands together to meet our lawmakers and tell our stories. With your tireless backing, we have advocated for bills that will decriminalize poverty, reimagine policing, and move our state towards smart justice.
Join us for our digital advocacy training. You will hear from ACLU of Hawai‘i Field Organizer, Shayna Lonoaea-Alxander, about what we need to accomplish in the 2021 legislative session. We have work to do on criminal justice reform, reproductive rights, and ending police violence.

This year, Hawai'i Island elects a new prosecutor. This is our chance to elect a fair, reform-minded person who is committed to ending mass incarceration.
The ACLU of Hawai‘i will be hosting a candidate forum in anticipation of the upcoming Honolulu prosecutorial race. You’ll learn more about the role of a prosecutor and hear from the candidates on smart justice issues that are important to you.
